Beginner's guide

Everything you need for your first hour of Spot Royale.

The duel

You and your rival see the same two pictures, one above the other. Tap anything that is different on either picture. Each find is yours alone, and the first player to find them all wins. When the clock runs out, whoever found more wins; equal counts are a draw.

A wrong tap costs time, so look before you tap. Pinch to zoom, drag to pan, double-tap to reset the view.

Energy & cards

Your energy bar fills during the round. Each card costs energy: cheap cards (2–3) are for tempo, expensive ones (7–10) can swing a match. Attack cards hit your rival; support cards help you.

Your first deck

Mix both families. A solid start: Ink Splash, Shake, Speed Boost, Shield and Time Boost. Add Shield or Cleanse once you meet players who love attacks.

Climbing

Wins earn trophies; new arenas unlock at set totals. The Village / Farm is a safe zone where losses cost nothing. See arenas for the full ladder.

Rewards

Wins give coins and chests. Every difference you find fills the Spotter's Chest, even in a loss, and the daily wheel gives a free spin each day.

Ten quick tips

  1. Scan in a pattern — rows or quadrants — instead of darting around.
  2. Colour changes are easiest to spot; check shapes and missing objects next.
  3. Zoom in on busy corners; small objects hide there.
  4. Don't guess. A wrong tap costs time.
  5. Save a big attack for the final differences, when time matters most.
  6. Watch the rival's counter; if they are close, switch to attacks.
  7. Keep one defensive card for Freeze and Decoy Swap.
  8. Open your chests before your slots fill up.
  9. Upgrade the cards you play most — cheaper cards mean more cards per round.
  10. Losses still fill the Spotter's Chest — keep playing.
